Registration and Abstracts

The registration is open and abstracts for posters and short talks (15 min) are now invited.

Deadlines

After this date we will endeavour to hold the early registration rate but we may not be able to guarantee rooms etc. Please pay the registration fee as soon as possible. To add these deadlines to your calendar please view the event listing on the RSC events website where individual ics downloads are available.

12 December 2018 Registration and abstract submission system opens
18th February 2019 Deadline for abstracts requesting oral presentation including JEOL talk competition
25th February 2019 Deadline for conference registration, payment and poster abstracts.

Registration and Payment

Payments are accepted via bank transfer or credit card using a secure online payment system. The system may be accessed by following this link (separate registration required, opens in new tab). The deadline for payment at the Early bird rate is 25th February 2019. A £50 surcharge for late payment applies after this date.

Abstract submission

Please use the Abstract Template. The margins set in the template will ensure that your abstract does not get truncated in the conference booklet. In any case, please use A4 paper, make sure that the font size is no smaller than 12 point, top and bottom margins are at least 4 cm, and left and right margins are at least 3 cm.

Completed abstracts should be emailed to weegesr[at]chem.gla.ac.uk. Emails should include the name and affiliation of the presenter and the type of contribution (oral / poster) being applied for. Those eligible (PhD students and postdocs < 12 months experience post PhD only) should indicate when submitting their abstract if they wish to be considered for a JEOL prize talk, and should state the year they began their PhD research and their supervisor, to enable eligibility to be confirmed.

Privacy

Photographs may be taken at the event and used in conference reports, to publicize future meetings and on this website. If you do not wish your photograph to be used in these ways please inform the local organizing team on arrival and do not participate in the traditional conference group photograph. Accepted abstracts will be collated in the abstract booklet made available to all participants and downloadable through this website. By submitting your abstract you are consenting to distribution of your abstract to other conference participants in this manner.
