Sunday 29th March

Please check-in at the hotel reception. A conference registration desk will be open in the hotel lobby from 2 – 5 pm.

Exhibitors arriving on Sunday afternoon should make arrangements with the local organiser for access to the AMBS to set up their display.

There is a Welcome Reception from 5 – 7 pm on Sunday (see Social Programme). If you arrive during these hours, please check-in at the hotel reception, then follow the directions to the evening reception, where you will find the conference registration desk.

Late arrivals:
If you arrive after 7 pm on Sunday, please check-in at the hotel reception. The conference registration desk will be in the AMBS from Monday morning. In the meantime you will almost certainly find delegates at the Graduate Bar, on the ground floor of the hotel.

Monday 30th March onwards

The AMBS is across the courtyard from the hotel. The reception desk at the AMBS will direct you to the conference, in “The Hive” on the 2nd floor (straight up the main staircase from reception, or use lifts on right hand side). The conference registration desk will be on the right hand side at the top of the stairs.

General Information

All lectures, coffee breaks, poster sessions and exhibitor space will be in “The Hive” area (2nd floor) of the AMBS. There will be signs from the AMBS reception (open from 8 am), but just head straight up the stairs – you can’t miss it. From Monday morning, the conference desk will be at the top of the stairs.

Lectures

All lectures will be held in Theatre 2.008 (it will be signed). Detailed instructions to speakers will be circulated once registration is closed and a final programme is in place.

Posters and Exhibitors

Two poster sessions will be held. Posters can be displayed for the entire conference, and poster boards will be numbered and available from Monday morning. Fixings will be provided. Exhibitor space is in the same area. All materials must be removed by lunchtime on Thursday.

Tea/Coffee breaks and lunches

Tea/coffee breaks and lunches will be held in The Hive Café, next to the poster and exhibitor space. The conference will close on Thursday lunchtime: a packed lunch will be available for delegates.

WiFi

The AMBS is part of The University of Manchester, so delegates will be able to access the international eduroam network (You are advised to first set this up and connect at your home institution). A guest WiFi system will be available for non-academics. The hotel also has a guest WiFi network.

AGM

The AGM of the RSC ESR Group will be held on Tuesday 31st March, at 5.30 pm (to be confirmed) in the lecture theatre. This is immediately prior to the Bruker Prize Lecture session.

Internet Access

WiFi is available throughout the hotel. Instructions on how to connect to the network will be inserted in the conference bags. Hard wired internet access can also be provided in bedrooms but will require an Ethernet cable.

Departure

Delegates staying at the hotel must check out by 11 am. A luggage storage room will be available at the hotel.

Taxis

Taxis may be ordered through the Reception Desks at the Hyatt Hotel or AMBS.
