Conference Format and Video Submission
Due to international time-zone restrictions and limitations in the conference programme, presenters of ordinary contributions will be asked to submit a 10-minute pre-recorded video of their talk prior to the conference, with live Q&A sessions during the conference. Pre-recorded videos will be transferred in advance via WeTransfer and hosted on a private YouTube channel with the link only sent to registered conference participants, but we cannot guarantee full security so please keep this in mind when selecting material for inclusion.
Accepted talks will need to be delivered to the local organising committee at the conference email address using WeTransfer by 1200 (BST) on Thursday 8th April 2021.
For full details see the information file below.
Please use the abstract template. The abstract should be in word format using the template provided and fit on one page of A4 without any alteration of the margins. Fonts should be Arial, 14pt for title, 12 pt for authors, affiliations and all other parts including references. Figures if included should be captioned in Arial 10pt. Please make data, figures, schemes, and equations as inserted images of sufficient resolution to print on an A4 page and with a legible text size. The document file size should be less than 1 MB. Please do not lock the file or convert to PDF – non-editable files will not be accepted.
Junior researchers may be interested in the JEOL Prize Talk Competition and should indicate on the abstract submission form if they wish to be considered (eligibility criteria apply).
There will be an opportunity to present work in the form of posters, accompanied by a 3- minute pre-recorded “poster pitch”. These will also be hosted on an online platform (e.g. YouTube). Please complete the abstract template and return to the conference email address firstname.lastname@example.org
- Please include (POSTER) in the the subject header for poster abstract submissions.
- Poster Abstract Deadline: 26th February 2021
We are delighted to announce that the International EPR (ESR) Society will be sponsoring two poster prizes of $200, further details of which will be released in due course.
Only accepted poster abstracts will be hosted on the RSC ESR Interest Group webpages. However, in addition, we encourage delegates to present their posters on Twitter using the hashtag #RSCESR2021 throughout the duration of the Cardiff 2021 conference (no abstract required). Don’t forget to Follow @rsc_esr to see all of our news and retweets of posters.
The format of the Twitter event will be similar to the 2021 #RSCPoster Twitter Conference, which takes place on 2 March 2021 (beginning 12.00 UTC, for 24hr). Please see the RSC website for lots of useful information about the format, including FAQs on poster format and tips for the “poster pitch”: https://www.rsc.org/our-events/rsc-poster/.
Accepted abstracts will be collated in the abstract booklet made available to all participants and downloadable through this website. By submitting your abstract you are consenting to distribution of your abstract to other conference participants in this manner. If you have any queries about privacy and the use of your personal data please contact the committee.
