Your travel to Leeds
The University of Leeds is situated 15 minutes’ walk from Leeds train station connecting Leeds directly to London Kings Cross, Glasgow, Manchester and more. A map showing conference locations is available on the location page.

Leeds is also well connected to Europe via Leeds Bradford and Manchester Airports.

Alternative Leeds to airport transport: Delegates should ask at the registration desk to book taxis via Amber Cars: 0113 202 2112 or City Cabs: 0113 246 9999. For these taxis, please ensure you have cash to make payment. Uber is also available in Leeds. Note: There will possibly be train strikes on the final day of the conference (30th of March). We would thus have support in place for any international delegates who need to get back to the airport for a flight on the Thursday afternoon. In particular, we will provide a sign-up sheet that attendees can complete to request a taxi booking. We would book these on their behalf and ask the attendees to confirm the time for which they are requesting a taxi. Update 22/03/2023: Rail strikes on Thursday 30th March and Saturday 1st April have been suspended. Please use the National Rail Journey Planner to get details of trains from Leeds to Manchester Airport.

Car parking is available during the conference in the University of Leeds Orange Zone Car Park (Vernon Rd, Woodhouse, Leeds LS2 3AE). This is accessible via the main entrance to the University on Woodhouse Lane. When you turn into the University, you will need to drive past the unstaffed security barrier and follow the road round to left, past the Laidlaw library. If you continue on this road you will reach the multi-storey car park. The Conference Auditorium and the Edge are both less than 5 minutes’ walk away. In advance of the conference you will be sent joining instructions with a car parking code to be used on arrival. You will need to input the code and select for how many days parking is required. Parking is charged at £7 per 24 hours, with payment by card or contactless accepted. Parking is available from Sunday 26 March for the week. Once payment has been made for the duration of your stay, you may come and go without the need to re-visit the pay machine until the paid for time expires.
